In summer, dogs must be kept on a lead on every Danish beach. From 1 October to 31 March they may run free if they are under control. Dog parks (hundeskove) are the big exception: dogs can run free there all year round.

Questions before you go
Can my dog be off the lead on the beach in Denmark?
From 1 April to 30 September dogs must be on a lead on the beach. From 1 October to 31 March they may run free if they are under control and not likely to cause harm.
